There is a one-time registration for all auctions. If you have registered for a previous Steiner Sports auction, than you were emailed about your login and password information regarding this new auction. Auction registration takes only a few moments. Please log on to auction.steinersports.com and click on the "Register to Bid" tab. Please enter all of the required registration information and click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.
You will only need to register once for this auction. You must be logged-in at auction.steinersports.com in order to place bids. Keep your login and password in a safe place for future reference, as they will remain your login and password for all future Steiner Sports auctions. Upon registering, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Immediately upon registering, you will be able to place bids on-line in this auction.
Every item for auction includes either a Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity or authenticity from a Third Party (JSA, PSA/DNA, Mounted Memories, Upper Deck etc.)
MINIMUM BID INCREASE:
Any lot from $1-$499 will have a twenty percent (20%) minimum increase, in whole dollar amounts. Any lot from $500-infinity will have a 10 percent (10%) minimum increase, in whole dollar amounts. There will be no exceptions.
All winning bids will have a 20% or $10, whichever is greater, buyer’s premium added to the final hammer price. All bidders must pay buyer’s premiums, no exceptions. For example if the winning bid is $100 then the actual total is $120. If you win an item for $40 the actual total is $50.
Lots with Reserves:
The majority of lots listed for sale will not have a reserve listed on the item. However, if a reserve is listed we make sure that the reserve is a fair and realistic price based on the market value. The seller does have the right to remove the reserve at any time if the bidding gets close enough to their reserve price. If a bid is placed below the reserve and the reserve is lifted the high bidder will be rewarded the item.
All State of New York residents must pay sales tax. In New York state there is different sales tax rates depending on the location. There could be a slight change in the sales tax charged.
Invoices will be emailed to all winning bidders in the days following the conclusion of the auction. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of the auction invoice. Auction results will be posted on our web site (auction.steinersports.com) soon after the conclusion of the auction. The prices posted will include the 20% buyer’s premium.
If and when you are outbid on that lot, you will receive a new email notifying you that you have been outbid. In the event that you place a bid but are immediately outbid by another bidder's Maximum Bid, you will be notified instantly on the computer screen that you have been outbid.

FRAMES INCLUDED WITH LOTS:
While we make every effort to protect the frames included with these lots during pre-auction storage and post auction shipping, we are not responsible for any damage to the frames themselves, and no refunds will be given due to frame damage.
Cases and Framing:
Please note that unless stated in the lot title or description cases and framing are NOT INCLUDED with auction orders. If you win an item that does not include cases or frame you can add it for an additional cost by contacting the auction department at 914-307-1026 or 914-365-6754. Credit cards are the preferred method of payment for any winning item below $10,000. For anything above $10,000 will require a bank/certified checks or money wire. You also have the option to fill out and sign a credit card authorization form which approves the charge of any order over $10,000. Credit Cards can be used on all premium lots. Steiner Sports Gift Cards WILL NOT be accepted on auction.
Winners will receive their winning invoice within 24 hours of the auction ending. When you receive your invoice you will have 5 days to complete payment. WE WILL NOT automatically charge your credit card within this time period. Failure to make payment during the 5 days will result in us automatically charging the credit card that you have on file.
Alternative forms of payment such as check or cash can also be arranged. If paying with check, DO NOT send a check without speaking with someone in the auction department first.
Once payment is received items will usually be shipped within 3-5 business days. The buyer is responsible for all shipping, packaging, freight, crating and insurance costs. The estimated shipping cost is $14.99 but the actual shipping cost may be more. We will do our best to combine shipping on orders with multiple items. There may be additional shipping charges based on size, weight, amount of items won and cost of the product won. If multiple auctions end during the same week we will NOT combine shipping on orders from multiple auctions. Customer pickup is also an option if you live locally. If you live out of state and are picking the order up from us you will have to pay New York Sales Tax on the order.
The entire auction will remain open until 15 minutes passes without a bid being placed on any item in the entire auction.
The 15 minute rule means that starting at 10:00 PM, EST on the last day of the auction, the auction will close at 10:00 PM, EST as long as no bids are placed on any auction item within a 15 minute span. If no bids are placed during that 15 minute span of time on any auction items, the entire auction will close.
If however a bid is placed within that time span on any auction item, the entire auction will stay open for another 15 minutes. This process will stay in effect until no bids are placed within a 15 minute time span on any auction item.
To bid on a lot after 10:00 PM EST you must have placed a bid on that lot prior to 10:00 PM, EST. Thus, if you are the only bidder on a lot at 10:00 PM, EST on the auction closing date you will be declared the winner. No retractions of bids are permitted.
Please note: If you are the ONLY bidder on a lot at 10PM then the lot will close and you will win that item, only lots with multiple bids enter into extended bidding. The clock will continue to run on these lots but bidding cannot take place.
Cancelling Bids and Failure to Pay for an Item
When you bid on and then potentially win a lot in auction, you enter into a binding contract with our Auction site. Bids cannot be deleted once they are made. If you are the winning bidder of an auction lot, payment is mandatory on that item. Failure to pay for an item can result in being banned from bidding in future Steiner Sports Auctions. Under certain circumstances legal action may be required.
