Presented is an old Yankee Stadium Game (1923-2008) final homestand game-used Main Field pitching rubber signed by Mariano Rivera with an earnest “Farewell Yankee Stadium 2008” inscription. This relic from the House that Ruth Built is a wonderful piece of history. This pitching rubber is very special. It was housed in the very same mound where Yankees Hall of Fame pitcher Whitey Ford stroked masterful innings throughout the 1950s, where David Wells threw his perfect game… the same mound that saw Jim Abbot pitch the arguably the most spectacular no-hitter in baseball history and the mound where Mariano Rivera, the very first 100% Hall of Fame inductee, recorded hundreds of saves.
