The 1988 season was a memorable one for the Dodgers as a squad that was picked to finish fourth wound up winning the World Series, beating the heavily favored New York Mets and Oakland Athletics on the way. Kirk Gibson carried the Dodger offense, winning the National League Most Valuable Player Award. Orel Hershiser dominated on the mound, throwing a record 59 consecutive scoreless innings on his way to winning the Cy Young Award.

Offered here is a 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers 14K gold World Championship pendant that was given to Edna Garland, wife of Jim Garland, whose career as a longtime Major League scout included working for the Dodgers. Jim was awarded a championship ring while Edna was presented this pendant by the Dodgers. A stunning round diamond highlights this piece and it is set on a blue stone. Around the bezel setting are 20 additional smaller diamonds. The outer perimeter reads “WORLD CHAMPION DODGERS 1988”. Inscribed on the back of this pendant is the name “Edna T. Garland” along with a 14K stamp. This item weighs approximately 18.8 grams and comes with a Garland family LOA.
