This Yankee Stadium Club guest book may be one of the most incredible finds to surface over the past decade in the memorabilia world. Originally residing in the prestigious Yankee Stadium Club (from when it opened in 1946), it is perhaps the only single item in existence containing pristine autographs of stars spanning a century of baseball, including Ruth, Cobb, Cy Young, Mantle, Jimmie Foxx, DiMaggio, and key stars and Hall of Famers from the following decades, up to and including a rookie Derek Jeter. The book measures approximately 12"x14" and was the guestbook signed by the stadium’s elite visitors. The book features a Hand painted inside cover page with the term “Yankee Stadium Guest Book” and a vintage painted interlocking NY Yankees logo. Within the first area of the book are 36 thick stock pages with a date starting on 5-28-1946 that are filled with visitors of the Stadium from Politicians, Actors, former and current baseball players at the time, NYC’s elite, and visitors from around the country. The signatures in this section include Larry MacPhail, Bill Dickey, Ed Barrow, and Leo Durocher. Just past the visitors signed pages is a full page handwritten note from Little Ray Kelly, Babe Ruth's personal Mascot. Following the Full page note from Ray Kelly are six pages that feature approximately 150-200 Signatures from New York Yankees Baseball Players, American League and National League Baseball Players (who were seemingly asked by the club attendant to sign on particular pages divided by category). The signatures are in great condition mostly ranging from 8-10 grade strength. The key signatures on these pages include Babe Ruth, Frank Baker, Roger Peckinpaugh, Joe DiMaggio, Waite Hoyt, Bob Meusel, Red Rolfe, Joe McCarthy, Herb Pennock, Phil Rizzuto, Frank Crosetti, , Ed Lopat, Mickey Mantle, Ed Walsh, Cy Young, Red Ruffing, Bob Feller, Stan Covaleski, Ray Schalk, Chief Bender, Lefty Grove, Lefty Gomez, Whitey Ford, Charlie Gehringer, Earl Combs, George Sisler, Yogi Berra, Johnny Mize, Larry Doby, Mel Allen, Bobby Murcer Bobby Doerr, Mickey Cochrane, Jimmie Foxx, Harmon Killebrew, The Red Sox “Golden Outfield” of Harry Hooper, Tris Speaker, and Duffy Lewis, Connie Mack, Ty Cobb, HOF Umpire Tom Connolly, Dave Winfield, Tom Lasorda, Duke Snider, Joe Morgan, Tom Seaver, Warren Spahn, Don Drysdale, Robin Roberts, Enos Slaughter, Joe Garagiola, Gary Carter, Tony Perez, Luis Aparicio, Derek Jeter (Rookie), Bernie Williams, Tino Martinez, Paul O’Neill, Goose Gossage and many others!

Just past the many pages of over thousands of total autographs lies one of the best features in the Yankee Stadium Guest book. An entire page that is dated "June 27, 1996" and penned entirely in the hand of Yankee Hall of fame announcer Bob Sheppard. The page reads "To All the Halpers and that includes [Yankee batboy] ‘JASON’, This is my 46th year as the public address announcer for the New York Yankees!" Sheppard then proceeds to note "First Line Up: April 1951 1B Johnny Mize, 2B Jerry Coleman, SS Phil Rizzuto, 3B Billy Johnson, LF Jackie Jensen, CF Joe DiMaggio, RF Mickey Mantle, C Yogi Berra, P Vic Raschi." Sheppard then also adds his fondest personal memory and signed the page with a very personal note. The note and entire page is nearly a perfect 10 in condition and appeal. The entire book has been reviewed by JSA and comes with a full letter of authenticity.

The book which appears to have originally been purchased and owned by former Yankee Vice President of Baseball Operations Barry Halper, was re-bound by him in 1973 in a durable binding with an affixed nameplate that reads “Yankee Stadium ‘The House That Ruth Built’ -50th- Anniversary 1923-1973,” and embossed in gold font “Guest Book, Collections of Barry Halper.” It was later purchased at an estate sale after Halper’s wife’s passing. There is simply no price one can put on this incredible piece of baseball history. Estimate $50,000+
