This offering consists of Charles Dickens’ autograph, inscribed “Truthfully yours,” on a 4 ½”x2” cut.

Charles Dickens was a literary genius and the greatest English-language novelist of the Victorian Era. Born Charles John Huffam Dickens on February 7, 1812, he wrote numerous classics, including Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, Great Expectations, the perennial favorite A Christmas Carol, and A Tale of Two Cities. Dickens’ work was extremely popular in his own time and remains relevant and widely read today. His characters are ageless and known around the world. Dickens was one of the first popular novelists to address social issues in his work. Dickens died following a stroke on June 9, 1870.

This card, a cut of 4 ½” x 2”, is signed by Dickens using a steel-tip fountain pen. The item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
