This American Ball Club of New York Official Payroll check made out to Babe Ruth is dated June 30, 1930 and has been signed on the front by both Yankee Dignitaries Jacob Ruppert and Ed Barrow, while being endorsed on the reverse in black fountain ink with a very rare full name "George H. Ruth" signature. Babe Ruth autographed Payroll checks have commanded upwards of $40,000-$50,000 in auction recently and this check features one of the nicest Ruth signatures among them all. Rarely ever do you see a George H. Ruth signature, as sometime he would sign "Geo H. Ruth" or most commonly "Babe Ruth". The signature appears to be in Near Mint or better condition and also features deducted expenses for Mrs. Ruth who appears to have accompanied the "Babe" while on his road games during this pay period. This very intimate and personal signed Babe Ruth payroll check should eclipse all previously known sales. The check is authenticated by JSA and comes with a full LOA.
