Jordan's individual accolades and accomplishments include six NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards, ten scoring titles (both all-time records), five MVP Awards, ten All-NBA First Team designations, nine All-Defensive First Team honors, fourteen NBA All-Star Game appearances, three All-Star Game MVP Awards, three steals titles, and the 1988 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. Jordan holds the NBA records for highest career regular season scoring average (30.12 points per game) and highest career playoff scoring average (33.45 points per game). In 1999, he was named the greatest North American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN, and was second to Babe Ruth on the Associated Press's list of athletes of the century.

During the 1989-90 Season Jordan averaged a league leading 33.6 ppg on 52.6% shooting, to go with 6.9 rpg and 6.3 apg in leading the Bulls to a 55–27 record. They would fall short in seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals to the eventual Champion Pistons, but this was the season in which Jordan knew he could win it all and got closer than ever prior.

This red Chicago Bulls Road Jersey measures the appropriate size 44 with +2 Extra Length customization. The jersey originates from the Joe Dumar's foundation, a fellow Hall of Famer who played his entire career on the Pistons. The jersey shows appropriate wear for this era and for Jordan. The jersey's manufacturer's tagging matches the year of issue and is correct for Jordan's game used jerseys in 1989-1990. The Team Logo, Player number and player name are all original with No restorations. The jersey has received the highest 10 grading from Photo-matching & Grading Co. and is a perfect example with excellent provenance.
