On May 17th, 1998 David Wells became the 15th pitcher to throw a perfect game, and threw it on Yankee Stadium on 'Beanie Day'. Wells is a die hard Yankee fan and a Yankee collector so it was no surprise that he awarded his teammates and coaches a high quality ring. This ring was manufactured by Balfour and is 10K. Ring size measures to 10.5. Top of ring has a baseball diamond with small diamonds as bases and a diamond on the mound surrounded by Perfect Game 1998. One side has Yankee Stadium with 5/17/98 with other side having scoreboard and NY logo. This ring was given to Darryl Strawberry and has Strawberry engraved inside. This is a rare ring given directly from player to player, a fantastic piece of New York Yankees history. The ring originates from Daryl's wife Clarisse and comes with a notarized letter of authenticity.
