One was a boisterous playboy, the other a quiet introvert, but they shared a preternatural gift for the long ball and three World Championship celebrations during their fruitful partnership. Perhaps no dual-signed baseball is more coveted than a Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig ball, with the two giants forever intertwined as the game's greatest 1-2 home run punch. This Reach Official American League (Barnard) baseball dates to the duo's prime years of 1927-1931. The Babe takes up his standard sweet spot position in blue fountain pen ink (6/10), with Gehrig a point or two superior at the eastern panel. The ball exhibits general handling wear but presents nicely. A fine relic memorializing the prime of a special era in the Bronx, and a true Ruth/Gehrig combo ball, which is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after selections in the market. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
