From 1951 when he hit .267 as a 19-year-old Yankees rookie from Oklahoma through 1968 when he belted the last of his 536 career home runs Mickey Mantle captured the imagination of a generation. A three-time Most Valuable Player Mantle won the Triple Crown in 1956 with a .353 BA 52 HR and 130 RBI. Despite being plagued by injuries he hit over .300 10 times and played in 12 World Series for a team that won seven World Championships during his career. Mantle is considered by many to be the best switch hitter to ever play the game. Included in this lot is a Mickey Mantle Signed 11x14 Photo with Bobby Kennedy with 1965 Inscribed. A JSA Letter of Authenticity is included.
