There are game used sticks, and then there are game used sticks that are a part of NHL history. Featured in this lot is a very rare game used goalie stick that was used in a New Jersey Devils game by legendary goaltender Martin Brodeur. This stick is a part of NHL history as it was used to earn Martin's 103rd career shutout against the Buffalo Sabres on 12/7/09 in whihc he tied Terry Sawchuck for the most shutouts of All Time.

In his 21-season tenure with the New Jersey Devils, Brodeur won three Stanley Cup championships and five Eastern Conference titles in 17 postseason campaigns. He also won two Olympic gold medals with Team Canada in the 2002 and 2010 Winter Olympic Games, as well as several other medals with Team Canada in other international competitions. Brodeur is widely regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders of all time.
