Featured in this lot is a very rare game used goalie stick that was used in a New Jersey Devils game by legendary goaltender Martin Brodeur. In his 21-season tenure with the New Jersey Devils, Brodeur won three Stanley Cup championships and five Eastern Conference titles in 17 postseason campaigns. He also won two Olympic gold medals with Team Canada in the 2002 and 2010 Winter Olympic Games, as well as several other medals with Team Canada in other international competitions. Brodeur is widely regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders of all time. Brodeur holds numerous NHL and franchise records, including all-time regular season wins (691), losses (397), shutouts (125), and games played (1,266). Game used sticks used by Brodeur have been seen to sell for upwards of $1500 and this one is a special edition rare used stick with impeccable provenance. This white, and red Sherwood SL700 stick is wrapped with purple tape from a special event and comes directly from Martin's personal and private collection there is no doubting it's provenance and is sure to be worth signingicantly more over time.
