Kobe hung up his Nike's last season as arguably one of the top five greatest of all time. He played his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He entered the NBA directly from high school and won five NBA championships with the Lakers. Bryant is an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, and 12-time member of the All-Defensive team. He led the NBA in scoring during two seasons, and ranks third on both the league's all-time regular season scoring and all-time postseason scoring lists. He holds the NBA record for the most seasons playing with one franchise for an entire career. In his final career game he scored sixty, the most that any professional basketball player ever scored in their final career game.
Featured in this lot is a jersey worthy of Springfield. This alternate "Sunday Whites" Lakers jersey was worn by Kobe during the 2007-08 season. That season also marked the Lakers 60th anniversary to which they payed tribute too by wearing a special patch on their jerseys the entire season. LAKERS is stitched on across the chest. 24 is stitched on both the front and the back, as well as BRYANT on the back. The jersey is a size 54+4 true to Kobe's specifications as Kobe liked his jerseys baggier later on in his career.
The jersey is authenticated by DC Sports.
