Although Rich "Goose" Gossage played for 9 different teams over the course of his 22-season career, he is best known for his 6 seasons in New York with the Yankees. During that time, Gossage revolutionized the position of Closer, heading a new generation of big, tough, power pitchers to anchor bullpens across the league. A 9-Time All Star, Gossage finished his career with 310 saves, and a sparkling 2.05 ERA. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2008. Gossage, has personally hand-signed this base from a Orioles vs. Yankees game on June 22nd, 2014. This is a special base as it is from Goose Gossage Day when the Yankees honored Goose at the stadium giving him a plaque in Monument Park. This base as used in the second inning of the game. This item includes a Yankee-Steiner Letter of Authenticity as well as MLB Authentication. MLB Hologram number is HZ164108.
