Elston Howard was the first African American player on the Yankees roster. He was named the American League's Most Valuable Player for the 1963 pennant winners after finishing third in the league in slugging average and fifth in home runs, becoming the first black player in AL history to win the honor. His #32 is retired by the Yankee organization. This Woodframed Oil Painting of Howard hung in the Old Yankee Stadium and is a rare and unique collectible. Truly a one of a kind Howard collectible, you won't find another one like it. This is one of the last remaining artifacts from the historic Yankee Stadium. This is more than just a sports collectible but also a piece of art. This painting measures 52.5X43.5. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
