Dwight Gooden known to Mets fans as Doc or Dr. K epitomized the 'gotta believe' Mets in the mid- 80's. Throughout his career Doc was a fearless pitcher who helped lead the Mets to a World Series in 1986. He finished his career with the crosstown rival Yankees with a .634 winning percentage and 2293 strikeouts to his credit. And during the Yankees magical 1996 season Gooden pitched a no-hitter against the Mariners on May 14. Doc Gooden has hand signed this 8x10 photo and a Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included. The proceeds of this sale will benefit VetDogs. VetDogs is a not-for-profit organization founded by the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind and serves the needs of disabled veterans and active duty personnel. Since 1946, the Guide Dog Foundation has provided guide dogs and training at no cost to people who are blind or visually impaired, including veterans.
