BOOMER!!! There aren't many one name nick names that are synonymous with athletes, but if you yell Boomer in Yankee Stadium everyone will undoubtedly know who you are referring to. Wells won the World Series in 1998 and earlier that same year against the Minnesota Twins he threw the first perfect game by a Yankees pitcher since Don Larsen in the 1956.
This 2002 home white Yankees jersey was worn by Wells. Wells was larger than life during his time in the Bronx, and this jersey is no different coming in at a size 56. The jersey is manufactured by Russel Athletic. It features a 2002 year tag under the jock tag.
The Yankees NY logo is sewn on to the left chest, and 33 is sewn on to the back in tackle twill material.
This jersey is a must have for any Yankee fan. No additional provenance provided with the jersey.
