David Cone began his career pitching for his hometown Kansas City Royals he was quickly traded to the Mets prior to the 1987 season. After establishing himself as a dominant pitcher in New York including a 20-3 record in 1988 Cone was traded to Toronto and played a major role in their 1992 World Series Championship. After another stint in Kansas City Cone was traded back to New York in 1995--this time with the Yankees. Over the next 6 seasons Cone would help the Yankees win 4 World Series Championships and even pitch a Perfect Game on July 18 1999 -- the signature game of his outstanding career. Included in this lot is a David Cone Perfect Game Box Score Signed 16x20. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included. The proceeds of this sale will benefit VetDogs. VetDogs is a not-for-profit organization founded by the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind and serves the needs of disabled veterans and active duty personnel. Since 1946, the Guide Dog Foundation has provided guide dogs and training at no cost to people who are blind or visually impaired, including veterans.
